High Jump and Long Jump on a 24" at unicon?

Postby boffy182 » Sat Nov 14, 2009 1:16 pm

Hi every one.
in the unicon registration it says i have to choose a wheel size for the races. i have chosen high jump and long jump under other races.
it says 20" wheel size ages 0-10 and 24" ages 0-99.
i tryed to select 20" but says im not under 10 and i dont have a 24" uni or want do do these events on a 24".
im confused as i dont think everyone will be doing high jump on 24" unicycles.

any help would be great. thanks.

2009/11/2 We made some inquiries last week. Should be fine

Thanks for your informative email. My son is entered in some track racing events, Being older than ten it appears he must ride a 24" uni in these events. Can you confirm that he could not compete on a 20" uni. Its our first Unicon. Many Thanks Cam & Sharon Smith.

Cam & Sharon,

Jacob will be in the 24" racing category. However, he can definitely race with a smaller wheel. Or you will find that unicyclists are very friendly and generous. Many people will share their racing unicycle. If you don't know anybody with a larger wheel, come and find me and I'll see if I can find one for you!

Also, I'd suggest you sign Jacob up for the Obstacle Course. This is NOT a course with "obstacles" that you ride over, but a series of cones that you ride in a set pattern.
