Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Metting is held every year at the NZUni Weekend. A rough agenda is:

• Summary of previous year
• Financial Report
• Election of President
• Election of Officers
• General Business

We aim to keep it fairly brief and as painless as possible.

Job Descriptions

President:
-The spokesperson for the organisation.
-To faciliate other commitee members roles (help them/act as their monkey where needed).
-To chair the AGM.
-Liaison with the IUF and other sporting bodies which we are affiliated with.
-To liase with the organisers of NZUni sanctioned events (unicycle weekend, etc).

Secretary:
The roles of Secretary and Media Officer were recently merged, so the Secretary positon now entails jobs that were previously allocated to the Media Officer. The combined description is as follows.
-To keep records for the organisation.
-To keep members informed of news, events, meetings etc via the unicycle.org.nz website.
-To be responsible for the updating and maintaing of the magazine/newsletter/e-zine.
-To organise press releases and publicity for the NZ Unicycle Federation.

Treasurer:
-To sign the cheque book.
-To manage the finances of the organisation.
-To raise funds for the organisation eg organise sponsorhips.
-To supply financial details for maintaining status as an incorporated society.

Team Manager:
-To organise the NZ Unicycle team for Unicon, Aussie Uninats and other events.

Head Coach and National Selector:
-To improve the skill base of NZUni Federation members.
-To faciliate IUF skill level testing.
-To co-ordinate IUF certified skill level testers within NZ.

Team Mascot/mojo:
-Something to represent Team NZUNi. Any ideas?

Some of these roles could easily be merged. Others which involve quite a bit of work can be delegated by the commitee member in charge. Please add some more.
